Bus

For the public, having access to accurate, Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) is crucial to a stress-free journey. We offer a wide range of electronic information displays to provide clear and up to the minute information including concourse displays, bus shelter displays, bus station displays and even onboard displays for the bus itself. Our displays can be used to show a wide range of messages including platform/bus service numbers, destinations, expected departure/arrival times, current time, schedule changes etc, all of which can be tailor made to satisfy any individual requirements.

As an innovative company, we recognise that the overall design and look of the display is an important consideration as well as cost and maintainability and we work closely with our industry partners in order to deliver exciting new passenger information displays. The majority of our products use the latest surface mounted LEDs which, owing to their maintained accuracy of placement, give the smoothest of scrolling text as well as effective heat dissipation, thereby improving overall reliability. A range of TFT customer information displays have recently been added to our range of products, which provide excellent performance in particularly demanding environments.

Concourse Displays

Data Display has developed a range of dynamic concourse and bus station displays, designed to provide clear, Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) to travellers, enabling them to accurately plan their journey in advance.

The pictures below feature a combined bus and tram departure board displaying departure time, destinations and platform numbers and also an ultra bright red LED concourse display.

Bus Shelter Displays

Prominent electronic bus stop displays and bus shelter displays enable the public to see specific information about their journey in real time (RTPI) such as when their bus is due to arrive, the service number and any other general information which may have an impact on their journey. For example, in Leicester, a combination of multi-line summary bus shelter displays and pole mounted displays were developed to provide a city-wide customer information system.

On Board Displays

We have also developed a range of single and two line scrolling message onboard displays which can be installed at a prominent place inside the bus, ideally suited to inform passengers of the next scheduled stop.
