In industrial environments, standard methods of communication can sometimes leave a lot to be desired; notice boards aren't always read and public address systems aren't always heard. Our range of electronic information signs are an extremely versatile and dynamic method of conveying a wealth of real time data to large groups of employees in different areas, contributing to better efficiency, communication and work place safety.
Our range of displays is suitable for use in any industrial environment including factories (production boards, accident rate boards), warehouses (accident rate boards), distribution centres (accident rate displays, production boards) and call centres (contact centre wallboards and acd wallboards). Our displays can work either independently or integrated within your existing computer system. All displays are housed in robust aluminium housings, complying with either IP54 or IP65 standards.
Health and safety displays
Electronic information displays can be used to remind employees of key safety information ranging from time lost through accidents, monthly/yearly comparisons, and accident rate display to policy reminders and safety goals. Our range of health and safety displays can heighten awareness of vital safety information, which can reduce the number of accidents, increase productivity and profit as well as create a better working environment.
Data Display's electronic health and safety boards and the accident rate display systems provide a clear and dynamic means of communicating vital safety messages throughout a large manufacturing environment. Here are some examples of some of the Health & Safety boards we have produced:
- Health & Safety board for Calor Gas with 5 characters per line for specific health & safety information and an additional scrolling line for other general. Safety messages.
- An external health & safety display for Kimberley Clark using red LEDs housed in an IP65 enclosure.
- A Health and Safety board showing date and time as well as specific accident data and scrolling text at the bottom for general information.
- A Health and Safety board installed at Finglas featuring accident rate based information.
Production displays
Our production board displays are similarly invaluable in notifying employees of any vital production issues to ensure continued productivity by highlighting target and actual production levels (as well as any variances), stoppages or comparisons with a previous periods figures. Armed with this knowledge, employees will be motivated to reach higher targets, thereby improving overall performance.
Displays can be fitted with two or three colour LEDs and tri-colour beacons can also be used to show whether the production lines are running below, at or above target efficiency levels. Targets for multiple shifts or multiple periods can also be displayed.
Production board displays are not only useful as a tool to motivate employees, but also for employers to track performance and production efficiency, forecasting and to calculate future performance targets. Some examples of projects for production board displays are:
- Production displays for British Steel incorporated multi-colour LEDs and operated by our XSDS software via RS485.
- Electronic production display for Perkins, showing target output figures in amber, actual figures in red and scrolling alphanumeric text for general messages.
- A production board for Phoenix, Northern Ireland using numeric and alphanumeric characters and super-bright amber LEDs.
- Production board installed at Apple installed to display specific production efficiency information for each production line featuring Tri-colour LEDs.
Distribution centre displays
Our LED moving message displays can also be used in distribution centres or warehouses to provide both directional and routing information to delivery drivers.
